Applications |
The antibody reacts with an antigen present on virtually all rabbit T cells and thymocytes. It reacts with 30% of rabbit bone marrow cells, and with a majority of cells in the brain. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
Derivation |
Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells. |

Yes, in BALB/c mice |
Comments |
Animals were immunized with rabbit spleen cells. Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with an antigen present on virtually all rabbit T cells and thymocytes. It reacts with 30% of rabbit bone marrow cells, and with a majority of cells in the brain. The antigen is a glycoprotein with an apparent molecular weight of 25000 daltons and may be a rabbit analogue of the Thy-1 antigen. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). |
