The transgene contain the SV40 T antigen coding sequence linked to a 783 bp portion of the rat tyrosine hydroxylase gene.
The cells express tyrosine hydroxylase and dopamine beta-hydroxylase, and contain neurofilaments. |
Complete Growth Medium |
The base medium for this cell line is RPMI-1640 Medium (ATCC 30-2001). To make the complete medium add the following components to the base medium (88% final concentration):
- Horse Serum (ATCC 30-2040), for an 8% final concentration
- Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS; ATCC 30-2020), for a 4% final concentration

Subculturing |
Cultures are a mixture of adherent and suspended cells. Collect the floating cells and transfer to new flasks. Dissociate the attached cells using 0.12% trypsin without EDTA. Remove Trypsin by neutralization and gentle centrifugation followed by resuspension in complete growth medium and add to the suspension cell population.
Subcultivation Ratio: A subcultivation ratio of 1:4 is recommended |
